I have stripped it down, adjusted and cleaned where necessary, and THEN tested with film (which is essential with these). The images shown of the butterfly and grass were taken from this machine and are not photoshopped. It now works perfectly with an excellent image (desktop editor/viewers don't produce as good an image as a projector, but the Moviscop probably produces the highest definition of any desktop viewer). It is a fine bit of German engineering. It has been tested with film and the focus is good and the shutter prism is syncronized correctly.
Please note that the viewer is designed to be used with the original Zeiss winding arms (provided). The voltage can be changed between European (220-250V) and North American (120V) voltages via the use of a simple flat-blade screwdriver. The diameter of film spools is limited to about 28cm (radius 14cm). It is NOT suitable for 8mm, Super8, or 9.5mm film. The arms are geared differently, and the highly-geared rewind arm goes on the left-hand side.
Overseas buyers, please note that it will be fitted with a British pattern plug but it is straightforward enough to change to a European or American plug. The two small film spools shown in the final photo are not included. _gsrx_vers_1436 GS 9.0.5 (1436).This item is in the category "Cameras & Photography\Film Photography\Slide & Film Projection\Other Slide & Film Projection".
